Bio

Andy has served as President & CEO since 2015. Over the last 20 years, he has served in many roles from the field where he became a master HVAC technician before later transitioning into management. Andy enjoys improving as a leader and person, and is passionate about helping others do the same. Andy continues the legacy of servant leadership with a passion to develop leaders to live out the Moore’s Vision, Mission and Values. As the chair of the Moore’s Charitable Foundation, he enjoys the opportunity to give back to the local community and abroad. He currently serves on the President’s Council for God’s Pit Crew. Andy and his wife, Amy, reside in Altavista, VA with their three daughters. He actively runs and enjoys learning about a healthy lifestyle. Andy realizes he is a steward of God’s business. Romans 1:16

Bio

Born and raised in Madison Heights, VA, Troy joined the United States Marine Corps in December 1998. He joins Moore’s after retiring with more than 23 years of service to our country. Troy has the privilege of serving as the Chief Operating Officer, helping lead the departments that make Moore’s the best place to work. Troy enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristin, and their three children, Lila, Davis and Lillian, as well as being active through running.

Bio

Troy began his career at Moore’s as our first Tools & Equipment Manager, later being promoted to manage our Commercial Service Department. He now oversees Commercial Service, Industrial Service and Commercial Construction, and also coaches and supports our operations group leaders.

Troy is a proud graduate of Virginia Tech, which he and his family often visit to support Hokie football and basketball. He and his wife, Christy, live on a farm in Pittsylvania County with their two children, where they enjoy many activities related to the outdoors.

Bio

Danny joined the Moore’s team in 2019 and leads our Commercial Construction teams. He began his career as an Industrial Electrician 20 years ago and served in a variety of leadership roles before eventually assuming the position of Plant Manager for a large manufacturing facility in southern VA. He has an extensive background in LEAN and continuous improvement, and has applied those principles to the construction industry.

In addition to spending time with his wife and two daughters, Danny enjoys a variety of hobbies including guitar, reading and tinkering with electronics.

Greg Danahy serves as our Business Development Manager for our Commercial Construction Services across Virginia. He focuses on building our pipeline by developing new relationships as well as strengthening our current customer base. He earned his Bachelors in Psychology from Hampden-Sydney College where he played soccer all four years.

He and his wife, Sarah, live in Roanoke with their daughter Eloise. Outside of work if he isn’t spending time at home with his family, you can most likely find Greg on the nearest golf course.

Jaimeson “Jaime” English has served as Preconstruction Department Manager for the construction department since October 2022.  He graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Building Construction in 1999. Additionally, he was nominated for and completed The Management Institute program at Roanoke College.  Jaime has worked in a preconstruction role in the Virginia/North Carolina/West Virginia market since 2000 with a focus on building long-lasting relationships and is an advocate for a collaborative team approach to meet the client and team goals.

Jaime lives in the Town of Bedford with his wife Tara and enjoys watching their five kids’ activities, trips with the family, game nights, and movies.

Steve started as an electrical part time helper in 1977 while in trade school, then spent 10 years wiring hospitals. Steve was a foreman for multiple years, supervising the installation of fire alarm systems in hospitals, before moving into project management. Steve found Moore’s in 2001 and realized he had found a home, a company that values and supports their partners.

Steve lives in Goochland County with his wife, Carole, of 40 years. They raised two boys, Steven III and Christopher, and have two grandchildren, Emma and Owen. In his free time, Steve enjoys working on cars, motorcycles, and ATV’s – and enjoys riding them all! He especially loves the holidays with his large extended family, and looks forward to watching his grandchildren grow.

Greg serves as the Building Automation Systems Department Manager for Moore’s Building Automation Group. He has recently relocated from the Philadelphia suburbs, where he spent 30+ years as a Building Automation engineer. For the past 20 years, he has been the chief engineer for the area’s largest controls distributor, specializing in Honeywell, Johnson Controls and Tridium based control systems. Greg is responsible for engineering, programming and business development for Controls & BAS. He and his wife, Barbara, reside in Bedford County, Virginia with two of their five children and two big dogs. They enjoy horticulture, physical fitness (mostly Barb) and cooking (mostly Greg).

Rhett Holley has been with Moore’s since 2020 and quickly moved from a Project Manager to now the head of the Mechanical Department. He has 25 years of manufacturing and engineering experience. Rhett’s background has given him insight in regard to facilities management with a knowledge of real world challenges that customer’s face on a daily basis. His main focus is ensuring that customers are provided high quality services that allow their facilities to meet production needs.

Rhett is married and a father to three beautiful daughters.

Buzz Layne has been with Moore’s since 1987. He has served as an Electrical Mechanic, Foremen, Estimator, Project Manager and currently the Electrical Department Manager. Has 44 years of commercial and industrial Electrical  Construction experience.

Buzz lives in Campbell County and enjoys spending time with his wife Sandra, son Zach, daughter Kelsey, grandson Eli and close family. He is an avid gardener, hunter, fisherman, houndsman and likes watching a wide variety of sporting events.

Kirk started at Moore’s in 2023 with 35 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, and equipment procurement. His main focus is working with Industrial customers to keep their plants running efficiently and effectively.  He is married to his wife, Tamara, with whom he has 2 children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and doing any outdoor activity.

Matthew Simpson joined Moore’s in 2024 as our Industrial Business Development Leader. He’s passionate about building meaningful relationships and meeting the needs of anyone he meets. With a foundation in sales since 2006, Matthew combines his expertise in business development with hands-on project management experience. A U.S. Army Infantry veteran, he brings discipline and a service-minded approach to his role.

Outside of work, Matthew is passionate about USPSA shooting, spending time with his family, and teaching the Word of God. Married since 2016, he and his wife are raising three children with a love for family and faith.

Jason came to Moore’s in 2020 as a Service Operations Manager for our Northern Virginia market and quickly expanded into taking over the Charlottesville area a year later. Jason has a wealth of experience in managing large groups of individuals to accomplish common goals at a high level of execution. Jason was promoted to Regional Operations Manager in 2023, where he oversaw the work of over 25 technicians, focusing on hiring the right team members, facilitating their training, and looking after their overall progress. Now, he currently resides as our Service Department Manager, overseeing the entire operations of the service department and constantly looking for ways to improve.

Jason and his wife, Stephanie, life in Manassas, Virginia with their 3 kids. Outside of work and when not spending time with family, Jason enjoys playing all types of sports, including basketball, softball, pickleball, and many others.

Scott has spent over 20 years with Moore’s.  He has served in the past as a salesperson, sales manager, board of directors, executive team and advisory board.  He returned to Moore’s in 2024 as a Regional Service Manager to expand and build the Tidewater and Richmond areas.

Before coming to Moore’s, he spent 7 years as a head high school football coach.  Many of his leadership skills were developed in the coaching and teaching arenas.  While coaching he met and developed a relationship with Dale Moore who ultimately asked him to join the Moore’s team.

Scott and his wife, Karla, reside in Richmond, VA.  They have two adult children.  In his free time he enjoys cooking, time at the lake house and being on the boat.

Jason came to Moore’s in 2014 as an HVACR Service Technician in our Commercial Service Department. He has over 25 years experience in the industry and holds 5 mechanical licenses throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. His passions are developing younger technician’s skillsets, building high performance teams, and ensuring they are living out Moore’s core values. As Regional Operations Manager, he is responsible for helping lead and support 6 Area Service Managers and their teams throughout North Carolina and Virginia.

Jason and his wife Carma, have been married for 13 years and enjoy spending time at the beach with family. They reside in Calabash, North Carolina with two of their children Westin and Peyton.

Will joined Moore’s in 2024 as the Commercial Service Regional Operations Manager for Northern Virginia, operating out of our Warrenton office. With a lifelong dedication to commercial and industrial refrigeration, Will’s career journey has progressed from technician to management, contributing his expertise to projects in over 30 states. He is committed to expanding our commercial heating, air, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing services throughout Warrenton and the surrounding areas. Will resides in Stanardsville, VA, with his wife and two dogs.

Tom currently serves as one of our Regional Operations Managers within the Service Department. He has almost 30 years of sales experience, managing successful sales teams and training hundreds of sales professionals. He believes in Christ-centered leadership, where he focuses on the relationship with others and makes that his purpose. Tom works hard to instill solid values in his sales team that will not only set them apart from the competition, but help to make them better partners (employees). He loves spending time with family, golfing, going to local markets and chasing a sunrise on the beach.

Patrick has been with Moore’s since 2017 as a sales representative for the Service Department. After many years of success, he was promoted to business development leader to lead the sales team toward providing an excellent customer experience for our customers. Patrick grew up in Central Virginia where he was a standout athlete in baseball and basketball. He is married to Linda and has two boys, Patrick Jr. and Maddox. In his free time, he loves spending time with family, grilling out, playing golf and bowling, and coaching his boy’s baseball team.

Alan serves as the Director of Information Technology and has extensive experience managing multiple areas of IT, including infrastructure, security and help desk support.

Alan obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Lynchburg University and holds various other industry certifications. He has over 30 years of experience in IT and previously worked at Babcock & Wilcox (B&W), First Colony Life Insurance and General Electric.

Alan and his wife, Ruth Anne, have three children – Allison, Jason and Benjamin – and two grandchildren. Alan enjoys spending time with his family, riding motocross bikes and four-wheelers, and other outdoor activities. He also volunteers his expertise in IT at Faith Christian Academy and runs the audio and video at his church with his son Benjamin.

A native of Amherst County, VA, George joined Moore’s in 1999 as Controller – VP Finance with responsibility for the publication of financials and assisting the business units with P&L management and job cost analysis for estimating and tracking jobs. Prior to joining Moore’s, George started his career in construction as secretary/treasurer of a road and bridge VDOT contractor for 18 years.

George enjoys spending time with his wife, Virginia; children Courtney and Colton; and his grandson, especially on the Chesapeake Bay.

Morgan was born and raised in Gretna, VA .  She graduated from Longwood University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.  She began working at Moore’s in 2010 and now serves as the Partner Care Leader.  She oversees the Partner Care team that is responsible for Moore’s benefits, onboarding, and reception.

Morgan resides in Campbell County with her husband, Heath, and their two children, Michael and Wyatt.  Outside of work, Morgan enjoys spending time her family, attending her children’s many extracurricular activities (dance, sports, gymnastics), and going to concerts.

A lifelong resident of the Altavista, VA area, Aaron originally started at Moore’s in 2011 as Tools and Equipment Manager. Since then, Aaron has been involved with operations of the company, including Logistics, Purchasing and Facility Management. In 2015, Aaron helped develop our internal IVES Equipment training program, which has become a part of every onboarding process for new hires. He has now stepped into the Field Operations Manager position in which he manages our Tools & Equipment and Partner Protection teams. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and is an avid traveler.

Nathan began working at Moore’s in 2012 and now serves as our Talent Acquisition Manager to lead the recruiting efforts for Moore’s. He oversees a team of recruiters for the entire company and has a passion for finding the best people to fit our culture at Moore’s.

Outside of work, Nathan served as the Treasurer for the Altavista Area Chamber of Commerce and has served the community as a youth sports coach in soccer, basketball and baseball for several years. Nathan resides in Pittsylvania County with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children. Nathan enjoys spending time with his family, sports, hunting and fishing.

Susan began her career at Moore’s in 2008 and now serves as Communications Director. She oversees all internal employee communication and external marketing. Susan has a B.S. in Communications, specializing in graphic design, with minors in Business Marketing and Spanish. The Communications Department creates, produces and oversees graphic design projects and marketing campaigns, videography, photography and various other means of advertising.

Susan raises three daughters – Natalie, Alexa and Jenna – in Pittsylvania County, VA. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, kayaking and being outside. Susan has a deep love for the water, especially the beach, and she’s always planning her next traveling adventure.

After retiring from a 20-year Marine Corps career, Justin joined Moore’s Electrical & Mechanical in February 2023. He began as a Talent Acquisition Specialist for the Industrial Department before being promoted to our Partner Operations Leader.  Justin’s mission is centered around providing support to his fellow Partners, working with his team as they continue to make Moore’s the best place to work, and fostering a positive workplace culture. He resides in Forest, Virginia with his wife of more than 20 years, Melanie, and their three children, Brayden, Rylee, and Taylor.

Bill joined Moore’s in 2023, and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer.  He has over 35 years’ experience in financial management roles in the construction industry.  He has degrees in economics / historic preservation, and accounting. Early in his career he worked in the trades as a carpenter and finisher and obtained a builders license in the State of Michigan.   Always humbled by God’s providence in his life, he seeks to share the good news and model Jesus’s leadership.
